Hungry? Thirsty? Just
want to unwind and enjoy some local culture?
Look no further than the Ruebel. Our
restaurant and western saloon are open every day. |
 |
|
A true piece of
American history, our magnificent burled walnut bar was
originally part of the Bavarian Exhibit at the 1904 World's Fair,
then shipped here from St. Louis via packet
boat. The custom-built back bar is accented
with two antique tin ceiling panels, discovered
above the main entrance awning when the hotel was
renovated in 1996. Now our beautifully
restored "Tin Ladies" proudly greet
patrons seated at the bar.
|
 |
Our menu features
some of the classic Grafton cuisine, namely
catfish fillet and fritters, as well as buffalo
and walleye. If you're not in the mood for
fish, you can order a great T-bone steak or a
fully-loaded pan or thin crust pizza. We
also offer more "comfort food" staples
like burgers and fries, soups and salads, shrimp,
pork and chicken dishes, and plenty of
mouth-watering appetizers. |
 |
|
On
the weekends, you're likely to find some of the
best live music on either side of the river.
Dan
Sproat, a house favorite, plays everything
from oldies and classic rock to country and pop on
multiple instruments. You may even see a
talented bartender or Ruebel regular take the
stage for a song or two, or join in yourself on a
full-bar sing-a-long.
|
 |
|
The kitchen is open from 11:00
a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, and the bar stays open
late on Friday and Saturday nights. Dress is
casual but tasteful. No reservations are
required. Master Card and Visa gladly
accepted.
